Give the public what they want... entertainment & tamasha !!!! These talk shows are brilliantly desgined to suite the Indian audiences who traditionally & socially have always loved poking, interfering into lives of others. Some identify with them, most others just like to see a celebrity succeed or fail in their professional & personal life , & that gives them a sense of happiness that even celebrities & the rich & famous fail in professional & personal life.
Coming to Kamalhasan the actor, star.... he is awesome!!! Very rarely has someone survived the movie industry for so long as he did. We have heard of thousands of child actors who have failed later in their careers...but this man as a actor , a star & a multifaceted personality on screen & behind it , has risen to the next level everytime. It is amazing to see such great performers who can break all language barriers. People all over India look forward to see a Kamalhassan movie &.. there is always this anticipation that Kamalhasan will come up with another brilliant performance. When it comes to acting... Kamalhassan definitely stands tall over all other south Indian movie actors & stars. Kamalahassan has more fan following than even a Rajnikant, Chiranjeevi, NTR, MGR,etc when it comes to south Indian stars who have made it big nationally. Kamalhassan also happens to give a run for the money in acting to even some of the biggest Bollywood & regional movie stars. Kamalhassan is probably just one of those actors who has gone to the extent of toning, altering his physical appearance to suit a role (Naseeruddin Shah is the only Bollywood actor whom I remember use to do the same in his earlier movies). Kamalhassan is no doubt one of the best India has to offer.

Well...I think Woody Allen is the author of the original (and very well-known) quote about "the brain being the sexiest part"...May be Kamal just happened to repeat it..
But, I enjoyed the clips from the interview....Kamal is always an engaging person and I liked the part where he narrates his relationship with Gauthami (who is a cancer survivor).
Thanks for posting, Balak:)

The American immigration officials suspected him to be a Muslim terrorist. His name was the proble, "Hasan"
Kamala Hasan told the Indian media that because he was fair skinned, American officials thought he was a Muslim.
====> VC thinks Kamala Hasan is a very principled fellow.
I remember reading one of his messages to that effect.
Is that a swipe against women who "grew up" in the above mentioned decades...well, I still consider myself to be growing up (and perhaps will always continue to grow!)
*Frankly- I see just see him who has led an obviously complicated life (even in this clip he mentions "he was battered just as Gauthami"...I am not sure what it exactly means..but, will take it as someone who has taken some blows and is self-reflecting..
For the record...I would say, I "love" Rajini...Kamal does not even come close:)
