With IPL is halfway through, the chance of winning the cup falls on a few teams. With Deccon Chargers and Bangalore Royals and Mumbai Indians laging behind, the chance is bright for Chennai, Rajasthan, Punjab or Delhi teams. Let the best beat the best to win the cup?Who will will the DLF Indian Premier League cup?

At this stage Rajasthan Royals looks a good unit ...but will they be able to live upto their performances in the semifianls & finals...i doubt it...because by that time, expectations from their team will also rise & thats where they will be equal to other teams..from whom a lot was expected.

On paper, Punjab is the strongest team, bowling and batting. Chennai lacks in bowling power and kolkatta lacks the batting punch. Rajasthan defies logic, pure and simple. They are the kind of team where in each match one person clicks and that person alone is able to take them to the winning post. I do have a feeling though that they must be figured out by now. Would be surprised if they reach the finals...then again stranger things have happened. I still would not rule mumbai out, let them finish atleast 9 matches, by then things would be clearer.

For that to happen, murali needs to get his touch back. Cant understand why he is so ineffective when warne can be so effective. The good thing though with both chennai and delhi is if they come good it has been because of an indian player firing, may it be dhoni, shewag, ghambhir or balaji(Post aussie exodus that is....)

Rajasthan was my pick also but I am rethinking with Shoiab in team, Kolkatta may have improved their chances significantly. I would like to see couple more matches.
there will be a wild card entry of a 9th team in quarter finals. here is the link
