Its goodbye Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad in IPL.

Rajasthan Royals beat Kolkata Knightriders comfortably..... well played Yusuf Pathan, Kaif , Tanvir, Graeme Smith ..Rajasthan Royals..great unit..its team contributions for them in all matches...

The 3 teams which came in as favorties on paper going by their team players......are now out of contention from the semifinals.  While Bangalore & Hyderabad are left with nothing but struggling for no.7 & 8 positions... all they can now do is play spoilsport to some other team trying to make it into semifinals.

Kolkata have a bleak chance... thats if the ones in the top 4 positions currently lose a few games.

What about Delhi? Do you think  that they can beat Mumbai (now that Bravo is gone)?

Couple of plus points for Mumbai...vs Delhi

Delhi is in more desperate situation than Mumbai, which means pressure is more on Delhi Daredevils to earn a point.
Delhi has played 12 matches, while Mumbai has played just 10 matches..Mumbai has 4 matches to recover & even if they win two out of the four , they are still better than Delhi. Delhi has to win next two games.

Delhi Daredevils lost Mohd.Asif for the rest of the matches because of injury.

There is  Loots Bosmann who can replace Bravo as allrounder . Bosmann is a slow bowler though. But as a Bowler replacement for Bravo..there is Andre Nel who has joined Mumbai Indians.  Also Pollock  & Dhaval Kulkarni will be back in the squad. Bombay also have Ashwell Prince who can bowl slow/spin.
Jayasuriya is already in great form..if Sachin clicks tomorrow vs PUnjab & then continues that form then they are danger for all sides.

Mumbai's problem is they only got Jayasuria.  Rest of them , including SRT,  have not contributed serious runs.   They could make trouble but if Delhi's batting trio clicks they could pummel Mumbai easily.

If Mumbai misses out, that would nicely round up the fab-4, they can sit home or probably watch the semi-finals/finals  together at Sachin's Home ;-)

Sachin came thru today but couldn't help Mumbai secure a win, lost a heartbreaker, Mumbai still controls its destiny though. If they win remaining 3 they'll be in.
