He has showed that he can score double centuries, score at a quick clip. If the selectors turn a blind eye to him, sure he needs to address those questions via the media. Badri has the technique to handle Australian quicks in India.
In this series, the highest score from our trimurtis has been a 44 [a score with complaints of Gambhir reportedly shielding Dravid against spin, which I say is a worthless argument], in the last 5 innings and that should be an indication of their current motivation levels. Each of them have scored about 20,000 international runs on an average and they have nothing much to prove. Their performace will be under the microscope without a doubt, if they cant produce match winning/saving innings, forget hundreds.
Dada should have gone for a huge score today, its another opportunity he has wasted. Sri Lankans are employing negative field placement tactics but we all know how well the seniors can handle spin. When Sehwag can hit it against the spin and into the less-populated quadrant of the field, what stops them in doing so? It would be interesting to see the pattern of their dismissals in a couple of hours in the news.
If however, they score heavily in the next innings and India wins the series 2-0, I am sure that it will be difficult to nudge out all the trimurtis from the team, as the selectors might be going by series wins, instead of just individual performances. Kumble is doing exactly what is expected out of him. So, it is his call if he has faith in the trimurtis.
Also, I do not appreciate the manner in which Mahela has been asking an explanation from an umpire for a negated appeal and based upon the response, he has been seeking a referral. The umpires are not obligated to provide an explanation.

If India wins the series, somehow fab 4 will move on.
But it is time India take a new look at its middle order. It needs to inject new blood.
Right now, Sachin and Laxman may have to continue. Among Dravid and ganguly, Dravid seems to have real problems over the past year or so. He should at least be rested. Ganguly will certainly play himself out of the team with in a series or two. That opens two places. May be Badrinath and Raina should be pushed in. Rohit is also
All new comers are going to succeed. Yuvraj found it tough to play days of serious cricket. Kaif faltered. jaffer played well for a year and lost confidence in Australia. Karthick blossmed for a short while and lost his place. So it takes 5 or 6 new players to find one good replacement.
By next year India will have to hunt for Sachin's replacement. That is a big task.

Though his frustration is understandable, with his outburst, he might have gotten on the wrong side of BCCI babus. Good thing is teh current selection committe may not select the team for upcoming series against AUS. He is a better fit in the TEST squad, especially given our current middle order's pathetic form.

I think Badrinath has a point. Selectors at some point have to explain the criteria for selection and not hide behind confidentiality. I can understand that they deserve some confidentiality and do not have to explain every selection. But players like Badrinath needs to understand what helped other players like Tiwary and Kohli to get into team.
is it regional quotas? is it being from major spectator centers like kolkotta and Delhi? Is there money exchanged? or are there other considerations?
