Those two cultures were well divided by time, history and geography. They were not contentious. They were distinct and are not in direct (major) conflict. The only big conflict that I am aware of is the one between Bombay and Calcutta of 50 and 60s, who is star of india. We all know how that is settled thanks to red flag.
