Who do you get attracted to online ?

: In real world we know people usually get attracted to someone with appealing physical features then followed by other critirea as you get to know person.
: What defines who you like/are attracted to online? Is it those who are articulate and playful ? Or is it those who think along same lines as you? What about those who might think in same way you do but are very poor at conveying it through medium such as this?

not EGO but fun. with EGO, u can never win someone. It would only be a temporary relationship.The other person is bound to look thru it.

Attracted to as in what terms? Someone you are chatting with to kill time or on personals? I didn't get the group you are referring to.

Big eyes and big bust these two ensure my instant attraction:-) Yeah face sud be ays on make-ups thosse dol like artifical finesse from eyebrow to lips to cheeks makes me puke...... I much rather get a blow-up doll in that case........

I guess the question being asked is, in the virtual world, what attracts you to a name/handle when u dont know how the person looks.

-- attracted as in someone who you enjoy reading? articulate, but not pretentious or overbearingly opinionated; he speaks and listens with equal passion. being able to express yourself well in the written form is extremely important in the virtual world cause it is everyone's first impression of you. if you can't, you are at a disadvantage.

Basically every man (and woman) will be attracted to a woman (a man) who "seems" to want him (her).

It's not so simple, Ups. We have all wanted to run away from someone who wanted us, at one time or the other.
In fact, I have noticed that in almost every romantic relationship, there is always a chaser and a chasee at some level. One person is always more invested in the relationship or more interested in the other person. It is seldom an equal investment or equal interest.
In some relationships, one person is always the chaser and the other is always the chasee. In some relationships, the chaser and chasee exchange roles periodically. There are very few relationship which are in perfect equilibrium. Most happy relationships have moments of equilibrium. Chasing and being chased can be exhilarating and fun. It can also be tiring, exasperating, insulting, even dangerous.
I have also noticed that often, we seem to be more attracted to a person who is just tantalisingly out reach, than to a person who is easily available. And most people who want us are easily available. There are many cases where we want a person who is just out of reach and when the person becomes available we see a fall in our interest levels. Women are especially familiar with this phenomenon. They often talk of men who are so attentive and interested before they "get" them, and then seem to lose interest later.
This is not much different from the market. A product which is less easily available is always perceived to have more value and you have to pay more for it, than a product which is easily and abundantly available.

Also, I agree with the chaser/chasee concept. One reason could be once within reach, some of the not-so-attractive characteristics might come to light.
If the Chaser and the Chasee end up marrying, then it becomes a Dragger/Draggie relationship...:)
How can you smile about it? Sounds tragic to me. Actually I am not even very fond of the chaser/chasee reality, once the fun is gone and it starts to become tiring and bad.

Online, in relative anonymity, I can dare to chat with people about things most people wouldn't dare discuss with friends or colleagues.
I don't usually get attracted as much to people I have chatted with than people I haven't chatted with. There is one guy who posts here regularly and we have only interacted via the CH.
I think he is brilliant. However, I don't always agree with him. He has gotten me pretty worked up over his thoughts on certain subjects and I often feel foolish for feeling angry about a CH debate for longer than I should. Despite all that, I admit, I have had the wildest dreams about him (I am not referring to 'wild' in the exclusively sexual sense, BTW!!)! Since I am having dreams about him, I clearly find his intellect and his stubborness attractive!
It's all in the box. Online only. It's definitely strange...

LOLLL...now you did it to yourself. You mailbox/network invitation will be flooded by all the men from CH (we all think we are brilliant...)
And those who cannot type ( like me. but i manage with my one finger and toes sometimes) they don't have to come online and waste their time anyway.
