Mere Baap...does not have your routine song and dance sequences, idiotic gyrations choreographed by the classless Saroj khan or her parallel Farah Khan and there are no Khan actors in the movie.  There is real talent. No sleaze, no cleavage displays and yet you hear the audience reeling in laughter and truly enjoying the movie....It is  awesome, hilarious, full of comic twists...and a true family entertainment!

Paresh Rawal is just superb. Akshay Khanna has given a very good performance. Om Puri is a miscast as a lecherous man. .Archana Puran Singh does justice to her role. The only irritant is the newcomer Genelia D'souza - she has a fresh face but overacts beyond limits...to the extent that she could pass off as retarded. She could look cute if she would have cotanied herself and learnt a little from Paresh or Akshay. 

Overall I rate this movie 4.5.
