LOL. Only if you actively implement all the p-sat techniques you see on display here. Perhaps you can leave out Suryakanthamism, but the rest you must adopt.
Hmm...I don't know. P-sats are so outdated and so easily debunked.
I'm thinking of a more muscular and televangelist-flavor of Hinduism with particular focus on reeling in the younger demographic - catch'em young is the mantra for future growth.
That sounds cool... you can really put some energy into those Aastha-type of cable channels and get them to be on par with the Christian channels. You can also get a lot of your material right here... you could spend a whole hour reading out just one of rawemotions's posts!
The main religion is itself going to strike an upbeat mix of positive preaching from those good books, bhakti-inducing music and plenty of theatrics (cripples throwing away their crutches, the blind throwing away their seeing-eye dogs etc).
These acharyas play the role of shepherding the flock through life's challenges. They're also the profit-center heads.
I doubt if Psandilya would see the cynicism in this - apparently, his understanding of that word is somewhat different (ref: yday's posts).
Oh you do me injustice. I don't call the unkils for nothing - it's out of tremendous respect for their immense learning. And I do intend to do exactly that.
In fact, I'm thinking I'll go all Advaitic and get rid of idols altogether and move to either fire worship, Vedic style or a symbol thereof (but not of the Sevan variety).
You can only sell your soul if someone is willing to pay. Otherwise, it's just a donation.
And yes, I believe the conscience goes with the soul. And the only buyers in this market - religion and the devil - find the conscience a liability, so you'll find a heap of discarded consciences that then go into landfills and contaminate the water table.
