A good judge??!! IMPO, the judge is an idiot. The gal is almost 19 yrs. old. Her dad could have kicked her out of his house as soon as she had her 18th birthday. The young lady could be too immature to take care of her child and study. There is probably a good reason as to why she had to resort to GED. She is a HS dropout. She might have ADD, which could be a significant handicap for anyone trying to pass any type of exam. Typically, students with ADD have a tough time learning math.
It was entirely her fault that she became pregnant at the age of 17. Thank goodness for her dad for supporting her and her child. The judge is not helping her by sending her dad to jail. If anything, he is hurting her.

The dad, and mom too, in this case seem to have neglected their parental duties towards this girl, and the judge is right in dumping this bum in jail for a few months. It's too bad his Honor did not send the stupid mother also to prison, for a longer period than dad (she gave birth to this girl and should have taken more responsibility). It should be a lesson to other goofy parents.
