wow..a great post.
i was going thru profile of my friend in college. she was involved with a dude in india for 7 years..when i met she told me she came to america..was living with a roomie..and he proposed and they got married...she was not happy when i talked to her last..was cribbing how he lived off her kamai and he would send few thousand dollars to his parents in india...then i came to know she got pregnant..(doomed!).
this is how ppl marry...in impulse. either way noone is happy.

4. Number 1 cause of divorce is LACK OF MUTUAL COMMITMENTinfidelity, not AM/LM. Easier done in people with improper upbringing/values.

poor communication, financials issues, commitment, fights, arguments etc are "subjective" - each side has their version - happens with all couples to varying degree. Only infidelity is listed with such causes as an irreversible EVENT which concludes it as a divorce.

Not all marriages fail for the same reason. Nor is there usually one reason for the breakdown of a particular marriage. Nevertheless, we hear some reasons more often than others.
They are:
Infidelity
Poor communication
Financial problems
A lack of commitment to the marriage
A dramatic change in priorities
There are other causes we see a lot, but not quite as often as those listed above .They are:
Failed expectations or unmet needs
Addictions and substance abuse
Physical, sexual or emotional abuse
Lack of conflict resolution skills
