When we did a similar thing in Denver protesting against Pakistan's Kargil adevnture, we had to get permission for all the slogans before-hand, and the march parth pre-defined.
It is important that you include "Dalai Lama", "Buddha/Buddhism" and "Dharma/Karma" words in your slogans bcs thats what most Americans understand. Make it sound like a protest against an attack on those words.

While I applaid your concern for Tibetans, why do you show no concern for the murederous human rights violations against Sri Lankan Tamils? Asia Watch, Amnesty International, Red Cross, US, EU, Canada have all criticized it. Why don't you ask your Hindoan government why it is training and arming the murderous Sri Lankan army and paramilitaries?

What is your protest for? To preserve Tibetan way of life - praying, meditating and following the middle path (that doesn't have any scientific evidence) and to protest against Chinese authorities who think that the middle path is as good as Falun Gong's?

My wife said to me the other day that I am not doing much with my life apart from working and making a living. Here is a cause I care about and there is a chance to do something small about it right where I live, so I decided it's worth cutting our vacation short by a day. So yeah, my reason is quite selfish too :).

No she said I am spending all my time either working or doing family / social stuff. That I am not doing anything meaningful with my life. As you can tell, it stung :). She goes to the studio and makes pots and stained glass stuff, and I protest and post on CH. But she doesn't count Sulekha posts as meaningul contribution.
