Why is your first reaction always about roits after terrorist bombings? What is the rational thinking behind it?
India had about 10 to 20 terrorist incidents in the past 10 years. In each case, govt said these acts were done by jehadists. So the perpetrators were identified by a responsible source.
So tell me how many of those incidents resulted in huge religious roits? How many people were killed in each of those roits?
Why is your first reaction after these roits is always that there should not religious roits?
Most of us are concerned about who did it? What can we do to prevent it from happening again, thinking of new laws that can be enacted, people that can searched, followed, interrogated? Most of us think about how to cut off santuary of these perpetrators? Most of us think of sqeezing out the sympathizers of these perpetrators? Most of think of cutting off their funds?
Yes. If we know who those perpetrators were, most of us do think of cutting off their balls.
I seriously suspect those who start preaching religious tolerance, bring up excuses like Babri majid or talk about police execesses or even civil rights. I suspect most of thes type of people are jehadi apologists or seriously delusional people.

I hope the people & the politicians & local authorities handle this issue calmly & not let this add fuel into riots,etc. If that happens then it will be a victory for the terrorists.
Let me try to understand. Do you think the blasts are not a victory for the terrorists?. They have been successfully repeating the blasts all over the country over the past few years.
If you are implying that the mere setting off a blast is a victory for terrorists, you are quite mistaken. No country in the world can prevent terrorist events 100% of the time. Setting of bomb blasts are only a means to an end, so the bombers win only if their objectives of setting off the blasts are met.
If you look at the intent of the terrorists globally, it falls into three categories:
(a) hurt the other (physically and / or economically) - bombay blasts, hyderabad blasts etc
(b) influence politics - attack on parliament, kandahar hijacking etc
(c) both a and b (hurt the other to incite retaliation and thus gain more recruits etc)
(d) none of the above (eg: impose social norms by bombing nightclubs etc)
So the real victory for these terrorists is when people yield to kneejerk reactions and change their behavior in ways the terrorists want them to. They lose out in a resilient society where people just get back to their daily routine (and law and order goes hammer and tongs after the perpetrators).
Knowing people in Banglore, they wouldn't do anything on Gujrat scale unless specialists are brought on for the purpose..
