Today will be about Mother's Day I guess. Maybe go out for lunch with extended family. But gifts for aunts, etc. Wondering if I will get a gift, cause just last weekend I bought bag load of new clothes, and my daughter said, how about we double use these as Mother's Days gift? So let's see.

Them mothers too. We might go out collectively. So maybe the lunch itself will be a gift. For some reason, hubbs is a popular nephew.

It is not really Hallmark. Well, dunno. Many times it is the men making something together in the kitchen. (Something better than oatmeal prop).

It has caught up in India since last 5-6 years. Earlier, I (and sis too) didn't send anything to her. Then 6-7 years ago she called one day and complained that her sis and bro both got flowers from their kids on mother's day, and she had nothing to boast about.
So, now I send it. She loves flowers. I can send her flowers every day if practical, and she won't complain.

the mother knows she gets nothing for mothers day from me. she has had nothing for years. she complained once and was told bluntly nothing would be sent so now she does not ask.

You are right that would be disappointing for her . Much better to send the same message continuously.
oh it's mother's day today. well atleast the gym will be free of flabby armed elliptical machine hogs today heh. I'm not sure..wife's still sleeping. I'll probably cook up some oatmeal and call it her gift.
I have dropped plenty hints for last month on a certain diamond pendant. Let's see if I get it or not.
