I joined a moms network as u all know where most of them are abcd moms...teh way they fuss over..maya carry bag, lactaion consultants etc *argh..
makes me laugh..we all had children without teh help of thses and it really makes me crak up about the way they fuss on motherhood..well tehy have teh luxury cuz they are working moms and they have mooolah, i guess
one was asking whether her milk wasn't enough to teh baby...well..my mom used to say and my pediatrician used to say that mother produces enough milk for the baby there isn't anything liek not enough..but mother should keep a routine in her eating habits so that if she eats early morning she can feed teh baby by the time it wakes up..so thats' hwo we kept schedules and fed babies..now a days i donno what lactaion consultants do...
haha
we would leave teh babies on teh mattress and with lots of safe toys so that babies just played themselves we din't carry them around either..hmm..fussy ABCD moms
nope i did not have anyone for my second child i remebre waking up crying because my husbee had 5am to 12pm job..
i had another 1 and a half who was asthamatic and whiny...so it was very hard but i managed.
well that is what i said also, about working moms having moolah to fuss over..but I feel personally it is a waste of money for nothing but some boobie problems.
even when you have help it is hard to feed teh baby..
i have nothing aginst teh group or mummies, they must be awesome women..but the way they mountaints out of mole hille makes me laugh...i mean it was much simpler bringing up children during our times..:)

Do see/agree with the sense of it getting a bit too much...but let's stop short of blaming an entire group for that...in a different time yes ppl had children without the help of many things, but in most cases always helped by moms, masis, chachis, grandparents, even padosans...while today's parents often have to just do it themselves.
It's the same trend everywhere - look at what people do/think about getting their kids in school (ABCD or IBCD) and compare to parents' attitude 20 years back!
Really? ABCDs are old enough to be mothers already?
Anyways - Lactation consultant is needed to show the right angle to hold the baby, and for the baby to have a good "latch" at the nipple. Nipple sizes vary, you know.

why couldn't children have been born to indian couples living in the u.s. before 1986, i.e., in 1985, 1984, 1983,..., 1975, etc.? an abcd born in 1980 would now be 27 or 28 years old. why are you surprised that abcds are old enough to be mothers?

People who have others to help, or can hire help cut that crying part by not stressing too much:-)
