I saw Junoon when I was around eight years old. With Nafisa Ali, it was love at first sight. I remember being lovesick for weeks. I thought about her enchanting beauty for hours on end.
Fast forward a few decades. I bought the DVD for $18, elicing eye rollage from the main broad. I'm going to watch this movie by myself some time before Tuesday morning. I wonder how the experience will be, this many years later.

OK so I finished watching the movie today. Was alright, Nafisa was enchanting, movie was blah. I'm sitting on the couch, watching one scene after the next but feeling no heavy emotional upheaval as I did when I was eight. That's all good and I'm just sitting there....movie's chugging along....and when it was about 3/4th done, suddenly, out of nowhere, BAM! In Nafisa, I saw likeness of my sister. There was a close up of her face that stayed on the screen for two seconds and oh my god, she reminded me of my sis. OH MY GOD. What the funk is going on here? Any shrinks in the house? My heart stopped. I had to rewind, watch, rewind watch. Yes she does remind me of my sister. This revelation is very disturbing on many levels but there's no way I want to think about this and dissect the issue. F that. I'm having a drink. NOW. Jeesus fuqin christ. I'm cringing as I type this. I can't believe this is happening to me.

Is that the Shashi Kapoor's son as a surd movie? Air Force related? I vaguely remember seeing that movie on tv (as a rerun). I hardly remember Nafisa Ali in it.
