She could be just a naive, drunk and gifted with unsubtle approach. A variety of people can be interested in head gear of a Sardar; idle curiosity, hostility towards ragheads, interest in religious practices and physical attraction could be blamed for the direct approach. When in Rome, do(dress) as Romans do, may be one way to reduce the unwelcome attention of crazy people.
