In the antebellum south, black children were separated from their parents and sold as slaves.
If a pregnant black woman had said to herself "I do not want my child in my womb to be a slave like me after he is born" and had aborted the child, would it have been an unethical, immoral and horrendous act?
If every pregnant black women living in America during the time of slavery had aborted her child, would it not have put an end to slavery? To Maria

In those days..abortions were illegal and the crude illegal abortions almost killed many of the women who attempted it themselves- through many ways..all traumatic and terrible. And if you hear stories from the descendents of slaves, it is interesting to know that even those strong women had "hope" for their children against incredible odds...that they would somehow escape slavery...and have better lives than them.
The same applies for women who give birth, in places of poverty... women have incredible strength and hope that their children will have better lives than them..some give them up for adoption...some keep them do all they can.
*Moral judgements are for the Divine power..
*Ethical (the same applies as before..early preg, imo are okay..)
*Horrendous? Always...nothing pleasant about it.
