Some really sick people on Sulekha

started by Truthbetold3 1 month ago
As i read some of the posts, I get the impresion that there are really couple of emotionally sick people on Sulekha. These individuals can be classified as psychologically challenged.  I am no medical expert but I see these two clear cases.

Both of them post extensively.

One claims to be from one of India's premier institutions but seems to have poor research skills and gets into endless arguments. He can make some outarages comments and fails to make an effort to do any research even after challenged.  He acts like a batsmen who was declared out by the umpire but refuses to leave the middle in a  cricket match.

The other one is a more devious one who indulges in endless illegal picture posting and makes vulgar comments to female handles. To add to that he also posts those suicide messages.

Is there a way to get the message to them that they need to seek real medical help?

Is it possible that these individuals are extremely cunning and are cons who are duping us with their virtual images?

it's intriguing to watch the junior b.a.s.h.* brothers exploited by the founding brother to act as his executioners on the basis of regional, language, and (non-brahmin) caste-based affiliations, even though their purported philosophical positions are vastly different.

the founding brother mindlessly takes on the private quarrel of two strangers about an obscure videotaping incident, and the nationalistic junior bash brother mindlessly supports him; the founding brother is obsessed with the obduracy of another poster, and both the nationalistic bash brother and the one with the foot-long penius (plural: penii) jump at his throat, all for the indiscriminate support that the founding brother gives them.

truly, this is the most boring phenomenon i've observed at sulekha.

i'd much rather read what jobless fella writes, although i'd never be irresponsible enough to trivialize his apparent clinical depression and suicidal tendencies, feigned or not.

FF,

Sulekhites are very much aware of your deep interest in teen female anatomy (ie. bare knees).  We are also aware that you are deeply indebted to JBF for publishing all those illegal female pcitures that you can oogle in your deprived state of lonliness.

Since your basic assumption about BASH brothers is as baseless as your criticism of NI (except that it exposes your mindless crusades against imaginary enemies), I will not worry about finding out who is who in Bash brothers.  However, it is amusing to observe your desperate attempt to find a cover to defend against criticism of your foolish NI bashing.

intrigue, vt
1. to arouse the curiosity or interest of by unusual, new, or otherwise fascinating or compelling qualities; appeal strongly to; captivate
2. to achieve or earn by appealing to another's curiosity, fancy, or interest
3. to draw or capture

bore, vt
1. to weary by dullness, tedious repetition, unwelcome attentions, etc.

Apparently, the BASH brotherhood* is inducing conflicting feelings within flimflam2. BASH brothers*, you have all done well!

* Mrs. Menon and Carvakka are, it is only to be surmised, not actually brothers but sisters. SASH does sound cool. What say we request flimflam2 sir-ji's kind permission to rename our organization to SASH?
Propagandhi122 posted Re:Some really sick brothers on Sulekha on 1 month ago

hey whoa now. if you two form SASH, then that means mrs menon would be a sister of sorts for me. phlegmy recently accused me of being circumspect towards her, which I presume means that I'm trying to get into her good books and by extension her panties. that would be incest. dunno if the charter wants to open itself to such vile accusations.

Your item #1 is not really sick, at least in medical terms. His fundamental problem is that he thinks admitting that he is ever wrong will damage his credibility or reputation. Because of that, he will go to any length to keep on arguing, even if he himself knows that he is wrong. To err is human, but he prefers to consider himself superhuman in that respect. But those very lengths he ends up going to in order to defend his nonsensical positions ("e is not zero, but an answer that assumes e is zero is correct") damage his reputation and credibility on Sulekha. All this does not amount to any illness AFAIK. It is probably the result of some bad experience(s) where he admitted his mistake about something and it worked against him.

As for your item #2, he is definitely in need of some competent professional attention. I just hope that Sulekha is an outlet for him where he behaves this way, and he is more mellow in "normal" life. If he is the same way in his day-to-day life, he runs the risk of hurting himself and others very badly.
Truthbetold3 posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
Carvaka,

In terms of #1,  I used to think the same way when I read his posts initially.  But as I observed his other posts, I sense a lonely soul that is lost in fog.  Many of the posts indicate a very confused thinking process.  He is certainly not performing at even a normal person's level.

In addition, any one who comes back for so much pain on a regular basis has to have an inherent problem. But then I am not an expert on people.
carvaka posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
Perhaps a sense of lack of professional fulfilment adds to his need to seem knowledgeable and be considered an expert, which brings him back with the same old tired theories and tactics.

I often wonder, if the second poster truly goes out and does something to himself, would that implicate Sulekha is any manner? I wonder whether web forums like these have some degree of responsibility, atleast towards people who have posted several suicidal messages on their boards. Moreover, his posts highlight the extreme incompetency of the moderators. I don't understand why do they run a forum that they clearly can't handle, their negligence has no excuse.

As for the first, i'm not sure if i've nailed the poster correctly but there's nothing sick about it. You guys evidently disagree on your views and that's that.
Uppili posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
You are right (hard to swallow - but I am a hornorable person..;)

If that JBF happens to be really suicidal (I don't think so) and commits suicide (will save us all from commiting suicide), then Sulekha CAN be accused of not reporting a patient who is threatening to harm self (or others).

In real life if one were to even jokingly utter committing suicide, social workers are to be sounded out and they will promptly come and enquire not to mention admitting the joker to a mental institution for further evaluation.

>>> Yes. But make the message short and to the point. And if you want to quote something from some book etc. in it, make sure you know it properly.

I had a classmate like you (in grade 6th or 7th) - very proud of himself and his capabilities. He was a rich and influential man's son - even got an executive level job after he finished school (although had a hard time finishing school though - flunked a few times).

He wrote history paper once (in gr. 6th or 7th) - filled about 30 pages with his nonsense. He had the thickest answer paper in the class  (most pages), but teacher gave him only 7 marks (if I remember correctly) out of 100.

The teacher also read his answers to the class. Some of the gems from his answers (I still remember): Akbar was a great poet, Kabir was a famous king, and so on.   Really a cruel teacher!

Uppili sir,

I am surprised.  Sil was ahead of you. Come on.
carvaka posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
I am not surprised Uppili refuses to understand what you are saying. I AM surprised he somehow didn't fit Rashmun into the list.
Truthbetold3 posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
Carvaka,

Why?  Am I giving too much credit to Uppili?  I thought he was the official uncle of Sulekha who knows everything that goes on here.

May be I confused him by giving extra information after Sil's post.
carvaka posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
> Am I giving too much credit to Uppili?

I am not saying Uppili does not understand your allusions. He does. As the official uncle, he of course knows who you are talking about. But he will not openly acknowledge it. You know the age-old divisions of this place, and the alignment of interests between handles. Coming out against Seva, Sandilya or Gyanputra is a step that Uppili is unlikely to take. I can understand why he does this, although I disagree with him.
Silhouette posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
I kinda disagree with you. IMO Upps info., theories and conclusions about CH/Chers are almost never correct. He continuously repeats to being the CH librarian and people begin to believe him.
carvaka posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
Ah, the Mohammad Ghazni method? May be. But with his tenure here, he does seem to know more about the people here than most people do.
Silhouette posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
See, that's the whole thing. His tenure is pretty short compared to 50% of the current day posters. He's barely as old as PI, DUT and even Max. Even Tiana was here before him. Thus, I find it funny when they (him and some others) speculate on FF, Rashmun etc who, compared to Upps would be the founding fathers.
Uppili posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
Shhhh.... shuddup...you are ruining my reputation and the entire image building game plan that I have been enforcing so meticulously.

Actually you are 100% right... but I also never claim to be anything - least of all CH librarian. If people call me that and continued with that image I cannot be blamed.  There are a whole lot of people who have been here on CH much earlier to me - including you...

So who are you ?....;)  Maya (or Rani) ?....
Silhouette posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
There you go, speculating again. May I just say you didn't know either of them, Maya or Rani. Carry on and have fun.
Uppili posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
If you are Maya or Rani does not make any difference...to me...   I thought in the past you were asked if you were either of those - or may be I am wrong... that is why I mentioned that in a lighter vein. You are losing your sense of humor...

Usually, I dont care which handle is what... if someone takes on a new handle and does not want to reveal there must be a reason... and I leave it at that....
Silhouette posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago

Oh darn, that's so true. I never noticed that.

To think I thought you stalked all handles (a la TS) with the intent of some record-keeping maintenance that you continually talk about ...

 >>To think I thought you stalked all handles (a la TS) with the intent of some record-keeping maintenance that you continually talk about ...

Nope I dont try to keep track of records intentionally....I do that at work and I am considered better than a Hard Disk.. But, if I read something and that stays in my mind I cant help it..

No.. I dont stalk.. you need to observe more closely... to get a better pattern about me...

Here is a hint... All you  have to do is to ignore my posts 3 or 4 times (just so I dont miss it), and I will be gone from your life forever...  Of course, if I didn't recognize your other handles I might answer to them....

Schucks, now why didn't I think of that!

Teaching what you know best, eh? :D

Of course..... nothing wrong to teach what one knows best...

Words alone mean nothing if it is not matched by actions - that consistently matches a pattern...

Isn't that what is the single most important observation/tool/weapon in legal profession as well ?

Oh..you odnt even need to ignore 3 or 4 posts... you can say once explicitly and that will be fine as well... now, don't miss this golden opportunity.....

Sil,

None of the names that are current or names you mentioned were around in early Sulekha forums.  PI was probably hamsadhwani.  I am talking about the days of  Malhotra, Moornam, Rudra, Arun Bhgat, Surigaadu, Zafar, gangopadhay etc.  Were you or any of the new names around in those days?  Little fella may be around.
Propagandhi122 posted Re:Some really sick people on Sulekha on 1 month ago
TBT, I started coming to ch long after uppili has established himself as the narada of this place. I dont remember reading posts by any of those handles you mention. when I started, phlegmy was ragging on simba and a few other handles for being young, flirtatious, grammatically incorrect and programming in java. his handles were 'oblong', 'feral 1', 'virile 1' etc during those days. conclusion at that time was that he was suffering from some weird, narcissistic personality disorder coupled with trauma resulting from turmoil in personal and professional life.
