As an American, you should be happy that America is larger and has more states (57) than people generally know or admit (50). Or, perhaps, Obama is including 7 foreign countries to the usual list of 50 states which would like be part of the USA if they were allowed to do so - he might give them a chance if he becomes president.

That will be more of a problem for people like Tamilstanis and Khalistanis who want to break India and carve their own countries - U.S. might not let them do that.
