There is very little religious opposition in Tamilnadu. (JJ's is political). Why should we care about Hindian opposition? (Is there any opposition in Bengal, AP, Kerala, ...? No. Only in Hindi lands.

To the extent I scanned thru it, the point being made is:
"why the differential treatment of Hindus i.e the government ignoring their sensibilities? The government's treatment of the Hazratbal mosque- related riots and the banning of 'Da Vinci Code' was the opposite, wherein it bent over backward"
Seems logical, altho' the skeptic in me wonders if there is a political angle.
P.S. As in all cases (French Canada, Basque movement, water rights in CA, you name it--), there is a Hindian angle that youknowho deduces, which I am sure I am missing.

JJ is more of a non-dravidian at heart and her political angle takes over when she moves to the center to get muslim votes.
But, the muslims almost have given up on her since her pro-hindu actions during her last term. Muslim voters expect unequivocal and constant assurance of support to them and expression of secularism in EXACT words election or no election. MK and the DMK enact that dram almost on a permanent basis, and have a lock on the Muslim voters.
Wait for MK to leave the scene for the next political turmoil in TN. After that JJ's departure from the scene in another 5 to 10 years. She is 61 and Indian women from her period are not healthy beyond 65 yrs - what with her obesity and other health problems.
Expect a Karnataka-like situation in TN starting 2010/2012 till 2020.
