It is difficult to beat a singlehanded matchwinning innings in the likes of a Brendon McCullum, Hayden, Gilly, Hussey.... Sehwag was the only one who came close to them with his 94.  Just like we noticed in ICL matches in the first season & the second season... Indians will start doing great in the second half or maybe from the next season onwards...once they get familiar with this format of the game.
I am looking at this positively & have a different approach of looking at how Indians are doing in the twenty20 version of the game.

In Twenty20 cricket...according to me... 35runs is the 50 equivalent of ODIs & 80 runs is the 100 equivalent of ODIs.  Even for Bowlers.... getting 3 wickets in twenty20 would be equivalent to getting 4 wickets in ODIs & 5 wickets in tests (in an innings).

Going by above criteria... I think Indian batsmen did do great knowing that they are fairly new to the twenty20 formats. There have been some good innings by Indian batsmen too.... here is what I would look at... Batsmen who have scored 35 runs & above...

Surprisingly...in this batsmen friendly format.. Indian bowlers did do extremely well.... look at the individual performances by bowlers in matches... hats off to some of those bowlers & their bowling spells.....
