Hi JBF,
I just sent a note to Sulekha and they took care of blocking this person. They removed him from my network. He was supposedly in my network from the previous version of Sulekha or he was somehow linked to me. Anyway, if you have such a problem, please send a note to Sulekha Team and they will be able to help. They did it for me today morning.

Yes, the problem has been solved. I tried wooing him to my blogs once or twice to try that trick of blocking him, but the blogger does not read me at all!
Anyways, all well that ends well! First time I tried posting a forum quetsion. This was kinda fun!

there was a time not very long ago when I used to y come to sulekha and simply write what came to my mind. My good friends at sulekha almost always made it a point to read and leave their thoughts and that was it !!! On to the next blog. But now life at Sulekha is getting increasingly complicated, what with news feeds and change in formats and God knows what. There is just too much of information floating around which i think is counterproductive. For something to be popular you need it to be simple and intuitive. My personal opinion; Sulekha seems to have lost its way. Are you wondering what this has to do with blocking a blogger?
I dunno, its just that till two years back somehow these issues never really were that big. But now as I note from the forum it apparently is huuuuge !!!!

Your comment defines all the issues in just one paragraph! You are right about information glut and just a flood of categories. I appreciate the new design changes on Sulekha and actually observed the home page change twice yesterday just before my eyes. But members posting news is not exactly an intellectual venture and they just pump links like there is no tomorrow!

I have to say that SUlekha just sent me a note saying that the problem blogger has been removed from my "network". I will have to keep an eye and confirm.

That's what my friends tell me. I may have networked with him because my friend's friend had a direct network with him in the previous avatar of Sulekha. He is a lone dinosaur left over from back then!!!!!He was never my favorite because I do not read him at all. Nothing against him; we are just not on the same bandwidth, that's all!

Unless you are networked with him Ranj you won't get his newsfeed. If you are networked you can now take him off your list. There is a delete button in the new avatar but I'm not sure it is fully functional. Meanwhile go search for myblog too which must hae been drowned in the sinus remedies. Want some tea??

It is awful to find uninteresting clutter that makes one search for LONG TO FIND THE WORTHWHILE. As it is we are so hard pressed with time this fds and nsfds can unerve...
