HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH?

started by RAMESH GROVER 5 mnths ago

A rich man spends around 3 to 4 thousand on adinner or luch with a his family. Whereas his driver or the security guy spends the whole month on a salary of Rs. 3500. He manages to look after his family, provide for his child's education and manage to save some money to make an annual visit to his native place. Talk of inflation.

'Enough' is a relative term.  What's enough for the chauffeur is not enough for the Boss.  The Boss was passionate enough on his goals to achieve the income that he wanted to lead the style of life that he desired.  He's worked on beating inflation.  The chauffeur on the other hand chose what was 'enough' for him.  Well, in my opinion, all should earn more and be prosperous.  It would be an ideal situation where the chauffeur too could eat with his family in a 5 star hotel.  Any ideas anybody on how one could make more money and bring about financial abundance into their lives?  If you do have (or even if you do not have) any idea, just check out my blog:  http://moneylifeart.blogspot.com/  You too could benefit from it.

For every enough there is an enougher.

For ever poor, poorer and for every rich, richer.

Rich people who spend money are good in that they are not just accumulating money. They are putting the money back to use and into the economy. Let them spend as much money as they can.

The rich people you need to worry about are those who hoard money and does not participate in the economy.

Luxury goods such high end hotels, high end restaurants, theaters and clothes do create jobs. Those jobs are part of economy.

Indeed, but why are restaurants becoming so expensive, and especially when the food they purchase is usually less from buying larger quantities.  Or I suppose they have to meet business rates and rents, rising cost of energy etc.  Many shop keepers are complaining very much these days about the rates and rents almost destroying their business.  Its seems a lesser salaried person is in fact a better business man than his employer :).

I agree with you. 2 pieces of idli cost 5 to 6 rupees to make, but the restaurants charge 20 rupees per plate. A masala dosa costs 40 rupees, whereas a cup of tea costs rupees 10.  And things cost more in Ac. cabins or Ac. restaurants.
