Are Tamizh Woman Aggressive?

started by padmum 6 mnths ago

Are marriages failing because women atr more aggressive?

Are Tamilian women more aggressive than other Indian women?

Take the average woman from Tamil Nadu--she is vociferous, articulate and does not suffer fools gladly. Her intelligence is definitely a level higher than most other women and even men. Does that make her intolerant?

At the same time, many Tamil women do not complain. They are taught to get on with the business of living. So they ignore insults and injury and walk off from difficult situations.

So will the real Tamizh penn (girl) stand up please!!

If you have the statistics to prove I will be happy as a tamil woman.
Do you mean the tamil woman of recent times?clarify.
Till 2000 they were considered as conservatives. They talk but dont talk back.
If you take present day scenario education  and a job offer them freedom but again it is not only to tamil woman.
I agree with this statement

If I were to know Tamizh folks only through Sulekha (minus Maria), I would conclude that they are genetically defective.

It has GOT to be a Brahmin sounding name...

after all, as per Fukir Razmanullah Jehadi, only Tamil Brahmin women are beautiful and worthy of being called women - bcz they all descended from UP Brahmins.

Your post reminds me of my teacher who used to make us stand up on the bench for the flimsiest reasons.
Jokes apart  Kannagi is a Tamizh Penn ,the heroine of the Sangam literature  Silapathikaram who fought a lonley battle for a wothless husband but a worthy cause, bringing down the entire Pandya Kingdom to ashes.
Tamizh Penn has evolved over the times and one can see thousands of them walking through difficult situations with their pride and honour intact.
Most of the times her  life  is  like that of  a trapezee artist in a circus where she has to  handle the  warring in- laws. parents, children and colleagues at work places without losing her sense of balance.. Whining and complaining doesnt produce  satisfactory results and shedding tears is reserved  only for the women of the small screen.
So there are many Tamizh penn who make  independent decisons and live life at their own terms without compromising the stability of their married life and kids. Just look around.
It is only the men who hide behind the pallus of their wives ,moms  and girl friends who need to be  brought out and given some dusting.

On what basis is the assumption made that Tamizh women are more intelligent than other women? Is this as a result of extensively surveying across the whole of India or is it based on perception?
I know several Tamizh women who fit your description of them, but then again I know several who are very gentle, non-aggressive but equally intelligent and capable.
Marriages fail usually fail due to both parties being unable to discuss problems with each other in a non-confrontational manner and I for one strongly believe that it is not the fault of one or the other and that both parties share the blame on an equal basis. There are notale exceptions but it is an interesting posit that it may have to do with the nationality of one of the parties.
As an equally aggressive, noisy, articulate and non tolerant person of fools, also being (from long ago) a Tamilian, but of the male version, why should it not be argued that the divorces are due to the testorone dominated version?

I look forward to various replies to this one as it has been cleverly designed to get people's hackles up.

In defense of the Tamizh women, they certainly have contributed to producing a lovely race of people whom I am proud to belong to.

Let's start a tamil vs hindi debate. NI vs SI has become boring

I think your question has the potential to flare up as a full blown NI vs SI women debate. Thank you for performing this duty for the sake of mankind.

Grahani,

They run after thier mama s  and nothing harm in it. there is a different word to those who go behind and roam and date with everybody's mama s . Hope You never seen the heroes of kannada movies. The comedian of tamil movies are far far better than the Super heroes of Kannada.

FYI

I haven't dated dated a pure tamil girl yet.The closest to a tamilian were some girls from chennai who had atleast one parent from Karnataka.I found these girl very timid and demure as Rashmun says. But I have observed one tendency amongst these women, they had this compelling desire to cook for their man.I mean when some of these ladies were visting me,they insisted that they  cook for me.It makes them happy perhaps.I guess all indian girls must be feeling this way,sex is viewed as nurturing than sport.

LittleFella posted Re:Are Tamizh Woman Aggressive? on 6 mnths ago

Looks like they are cooking you ;-)

ok.. so you are saying you are getting cooking girls during dating itself.
This shows you are outdated dude ;-)

most girls of today don't know how to cook, and they learn to do so mostly after marriage.

>>most girls of today don't know how to cook, and they learn to do so mostly after marriage.

--> I have heard of this theory that if a girl is not good in the kitchen she's not likely to be good in any other room in the house.

haha

Not really all these girls were persuing higher studies here in the united states. And no they did not knew how to cook properly. But they wanted too..does that tells you something?

Rashmun posted Re:Are Tamizh Woman Aggressive? on 6 mnths ago

Utsuk Purush posted Re:Are Tamizh Woman Aggressive? on 6 mnths ago
What is this Tamizh? Are you refering to the persian word Tameezh here.
padmum posted Re:Are Tamizh Woman Aggressive? on 6 mnths ago
Hi

The word Tamizh is the actual pronunciation of the word--nothing to do with Persian.

On the radio and TV and in Print the word Tamil is featured which is the Anglicised version of the word. They pronounce it with a hard T like in 'tea' or 'th'.

The 'zh' is a unique Tamizh language sound as in 'Vazhaipazham'--the z in it comes closest but it is a tongue twister alright. The common way of saying it is 'vaalaipalam'

This is idiomatic English meaning 'please  will the real Tamizh girl stand up in a crowd so that she can be identified as a pearl amongst many.

BTW why should women alone cook? Why can't men cook when they claim to be the world's best chefs?

G3, please translate the following words: Anbirkuriya; Mikka; Ungal; thamizhachi

I suppose 'avargale' is equivalent to 'garu' in telugu.

Nandri = greetings??

So, by saying YES to Padmini's question, you are admitting that tamizh women tend to be aggressive?
Hmm...., I appreciate your honesty. Apparently, you don't think that being aggressive is a negative trait.

Question for you Max: are NI women more aggressive than SI women?
MaxEntropy_Man posted Re: [Max] Are Tamizh Woman Aggressive? on 6 mnths ago
i don't know what that question means. aggressive in what respect? the only NI girls/women i've known were the ones i met while a student at the IIT. all the girls (the ones i knew well) regardless of their ethnic background  were quite similar in personality - intelligent, driven, hard working, and a little insecure. the ones i know on a social basis are not particularly impressive. i have nothing much to say about them.

LittleFella posted Re:Are Tamizh Woman Aggressive? on 6 mnths ago

I think 'assertive' or 'strong' is a better descriptor than 'aggressive'.

the Tamizh women are not exactly on a prowl and pumped up on adrenaline.
Maria S posted Re:Are Tamizh Woman Aggressive? on 6 mnths ago

*First of all- "aggressive"/ "assertive" - are all subjective terms...

*And why is "being on a prowl and pumped up on adrenaline"- necessarily a bad thing?  I think- it is a compliment on "certain occasions":)

I know Tamizh women (tigresses) who can be on a prowl and pumped up- when they want to be! I don't think all tamizh men...or any man always wants a "lazy" tigress, passive and lacking in energy...*all the time!

M
LittleFella posted Re:Are Tamizh Woman Aggressive? on 6 mnths ago

for e.g. all women are tigresses when it comes to protecting their children or home.
( they are better than men in many cases ).

"the Tamizh women are not exactly on a prowl and pumped up on adrenaline."

Really? And your observation is based on..what?

M
LittleFella posted Re:Are Tamizh Woman Aggressive? on 6 mnths ago

hi Maria..

Look at the Padmini's original post where she says many go through the business of living without complaining..

Also we need to define what aggression here is.  I would use the terms 'assertive' or 'rights-aware'.
