I have never been superstitious ,even though i was born in a highly superstitious religion. But i always saw signs, which i ignored. But with advancing age,i am sort of confused whether i should believe it or not.Any one experienced what i am saying?
Any one believe in signs?Which are the religions you can quote for superstitions?
To get a superstitious person to say 'i am superstitious' is a very difficult task. But to get a religiously superstitious person to agree is a mission impossible.Cause such people are more prone to blind belief.
Let me not take any religion is particular.
I just wanted to explain that i am not religiously superstitious.Understanding the ambience on forum, i do not wish to start on which religion is more superstitious , by taking particular names.
Seeing signs and interpreting them for your own life is the first stage of delusions. Human minds concoct reasons and build complex logic to justify and see equilibrium around us. We see life as a movie with a beginning, an end and a whole lot of connected patterns in the events in between. We think there is a He, who has set in motion a chaotic world with every event portending those that follow.
A black cat crosses my path as I step out for an important venture - my conditioning influences me to think of it as an ill omen. I keep repeating it in my head - dang, that cat...things are going to go awry. I am thinking of this so much, I don't notice the puddle of water or the speeding car that throws the muddy water on to my white summer suit. Now I am even more convinced that the signs are telling me to drop everything and return home. Its easy to imagine the rest of the day.
That which we need to fear is fear itself. Life is a roulette except for those neurosurgeons who as children always won in musical chairs. The only way to be is to be the author of your own scripted life. When life hands you a lemon, make lemonade. Smile and look forward to that day when you are lying supine with a beatific smile on your face and a 100 friends weep thinking of the noble life you led.
